Lowell’s Double Handle Hydrant Wrench Works Faster and Easier
WORCESTER, MA August 5, 2020 – Lowell is proud to announce our new model of double handle ratcheting hydrant wrench. This updated model lets water utility workers open and close hydrants faster, more efficiently, and with additional safety.
The Model 252F Hydrant Wrench is the superior hand tool to loosen and tighten nuts on U.S.-style hydrants. The dedicated tool is 33 inches long and is available with three different size pentagonal sockets: 1-1/2″, 1-3/4″, and 2″. A thumbscrew lets a user fit the device snugly on all nuts.
The 252F gives waterworks engineers maximum versatility and the ability to apply additional force more readily and safely. The wrench is suitable for use by one operator and may be used by two workers to loosen especially difficult nuts. During flushing operations, the ratcheting action makes the wrench much faster and easier to use than non-ratchet types and can save valuable time in emergencies.
Safety is another important feature as the product’s design always allows the user to face the roadway when working. For instance, a reversing control located in the head of the wrench reverses the action safely and conveniently.
The wrench handles and sockets have heavy-duty construction and electrostatic epoxy paint for durability and easy cleaning. The handle is a bright yellow color that makes it easier to locate in storage or at a work site.
Like all Lowell wrenches, we guarantee the Model 252F Hydrant Wrench against defects in material and craft for one year from the date of delivery.
